This project consisted of an extension to the front and back of the house. The house was very small internally yet had a lot of space around the property to expand. The entire house was transformed into a spacious and well designed home for a family to enjoy. RCD Projects worked with Wega Smart Homes to create a house with all the latest smart home systems. https://wegasmarthomes.com.au/.
Features of this house included:
- Energy efficient – designed to use the natural ventilation and automated shading for cooling and heating.
- Designed for the beaches, bright and light and using quality materials. Well insulated.
- Tiled pattern colorbond roofing. REHAU (Europe) pipes for plumbing.
- Fully automated.
- High End bathroom appliances and tiling. Underfloor heating, heated towel rails, lit mirrors.
Smart home systems:
- Fully automated, using top end Loxone smart home systems.
- In-house controller (miniserver), impossible to hack.
- Total privacy – no Google or Amazon permanently listening.
- All functions integrated into the smart control system – lights, heating, ventilation, garage, security, energy.
- Roof mounted weather station.
- Smart devices throughout the house monitoring movement, temperature, humidity, light.
- Integrated touch surface in kitchen island bench top to control lighting and shading.
- Almost no need for manual inputs – the house will know what to do, lights will turn on and off when you walk by, temperature will always be adjusted to an optimum set.
- Flood sensors in laundry and kitchen.
- Shading automatically adjusted to conserve the optimal temperature – depending on weather conditions, sun position, occupation status.
- House can be set for modes – such as away mode (e.g. at work), holiday (e.g. presence simulation at day and night), etc.
- Back to base alarm system, with messaging over mobile app and email.
- Mobile application for Android and iPhone. iPad included in the control system.
- Control systems learning from your patterns, and continually adjusting the outputs to suit your lifestyle.
